peresaker

Post by scotfalconer on Sat Mar 01, 2008 4:00 pm

Well i finally picked up the male peresaker this morning,a bit scruffy looking and needs 2 centre deck feathers,he was hatched May 2007 and bred by G Layzell, last guy never flew him,got him home ,weighed him and he was 1lb 13 oz had the odd scream here and there, went to the farm walked about for 1 hour in strong winds he never bated much, only when he was losing balance and when he was being hooded,at present hes sitting on cadge at my feet listening to some 70s music,so now i will order new telemetry and let the challenge begin (to be continued).

To answer your question stu,the reason i didnt wait to the start of 08 season is i dont fly through winter like most of you as i cant get out afterwork in winter nights,i have always flown my birds this way.i feel it is beneficial to the bird and myself as i can fly bird through the week and not only at weekends.

This is what id like to do, i can happily fly my hh through winter flying weekends and lamping during the week in the darker months and flying a falcon through spring to autumn ish.
